BEST Competitions

Engineering Competitions are events where teams of students use their technical, social and communication skills to fulfill a specific task or case. On these competitions and under specific conditions (time, situation, materials, etc), teams of students compete to provide the most optimised solution in terms of performance, cost and innovation. These criteria differ depending on the competition category, such as:

  • Team Design;
  • Case Study;
  • Negotiation;
  • Debates.

The key factors at play to successfully face these challenge are creativity, adaptation and imagination!

Challenge your engineering skills through:

  • Local Engineering Competitions;
  • Local Rounds of EBEC
  • National and Regional Rounds of EBEC
  • Final Round of EBEC

Local Engineering Competitions are local events, custom made for their audience, where participants from a university compete against each other in different ways. Examples of such competitions can comprise the previously mentioned categories, but also hackathons and others.

Local Rounds of EBEC are similar to Local Engineering Competitions, however they are part of European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC), which means the winners of the Local Rounds will be qualified to the National/Regional Rounds of EBEC.

National and Regional Rounds of EBEC are a national/regional engineering competitions which gather the winners of Local Rounds of EBEC and give access to the European final.

The Final Round of EBEC is an international engineering competition which gathers the winners of the National and Regional Rounds of EBEC who compete in Team Design and Case Study categories.
