XXI International Board (2008-2009)

Saying "Tim from Ghent" is neither relevant nor precise. That's why more details are needed. Tim has been around for quite some time, which gave him the chance to experience a lot from BEST: a great Local BEST Group, many training sessions, taking care of news, organising a Presidents Meeting...

Tim will never settle for the appearance of things, so expect him to take you to deep talks and explorations. But don't be surprised if you end up laughing, 'cause he can also be funny ;)

Tini just graduated her bachelor in business IT. She is planning to enjoy her board year as much as possible (read: without school). She is always in for a cosy party with friends. During calmer periods she goes to Parnu to see her parents and to enjoy the nature. She prefers Skype above Gtalk and applejenever above passion fruit jenever. Her laptop is her biggest love.

Cristi is a 24-year-old guy from Romania, from the nice town of Bacau. Last years he has spent in Bucharest studying power engineering and now, if he's not travelling, you can find him in Iasi where he just moved into his new apartment.

He knows what he wants and how to get it and he's been fundraising since the day he joined BEST. For this year it's his pleasure to get more and more from our partners. Besides that he's really a fun person. His jokes are sharp and seriously funny and he will never run out of them. His smile can brighten up even the cloudiest day.

Just 2 days to spare before the end of Spring 1985, the Easter Bunny brought one more present to the Natsakis family - little Tassos. Nowadays, big Tassos - Mechanical Engineer to be, and BEST member to the bone - is hopping his way through life, not missing any opportunity for a new challenge, any meeting with old friends or new people, and definitely any morning without a frappe!

IT nerd with mechanical background and great social skills, halara hard-worker and quiet extrovert, Tassos will never seize to surprise you, so next time you meet him and he does something unexpected... expect it! Whatever it is, for sure it will put a smile on your face.

"Dans le port d'Amsterdam, y a Karina qui chante..." Karina is not from Amsterdam, but she does come from Timisoara and she loves to sing. She started her BEST journey a looong time ago.

After spending several years going around BEST, joining committees, travelling, enjoying makumba parties and general meetings, she decided to run for VPIS, a position whose definition could be "Karina". And this year, she will always look at the bunny side of life with her Board.

Although 'Xavier' sounds like a strange name, everything indicates that it is the word for sunshine in an ancient secret language. And it's reasonable considering that he was born at 12:00 (maximum sunshine hour).

Cook during the day and bartender during the night, his food and cocktails are legentary. So when you meet him, go ahead and ask him about ;) He will be happy to prove his legend true.

Having already travelled a lot around the globe, he is now wanted in 79 Universities around Europe :) Enjoy him!
