Was building a robot always your biggest childhood dream? Did you want to take part in backstreet robot battles? Did you use to play with LEGO and imagine yourself as the greatest engineer? And did you ever imagine to do all that in one of the most monumental cities in Europe?

Come to the Heart of Europe, to Awesome Prague, and fulfill those dreams all at once!

You didn’t know the word “robot” originates from Czech, did you? During this short academic course you will learn the basics of robotics and you will be able to build and program your own robot. Made out of guess what… LEGO!

So, what are you waiting for? Show the BEST world you are the toughest robot builder and defeat all the robots of your foes! Enjoy the time in the city of hundred spires and meet awesome friends from all around Europe.

Academic information

• Fields of activity: Computer Engineering , Computer Science/Automatic Control/Informatics , Control Engineering/Systems engineering , Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering , Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering
• Content and topics: You will learn the basic terms from robotics and you will try in practice to design, build and program your own robot using robotic building kit LEGO MINDSTORMS. You will learn how to control the robots, how to enhance them with sensors and how to use algorithms to build a basic Artificial Intelligence, so the robots can perform basic tasks on their own. You will then compete in this task against other robots.

• Selection criteria for participants: Motivation letter and answers to the questions (show us how creative you are!)

Practical arrangements

All of these are covered by the event fee.

• Lodging during the event: University dormitory, a cabin during the weekend trip
• Food during the event: Three meals everyday (cooked by the organisers/canteen), at least one served hot.
• Transportation during the event: Public transportation (You will get public transportation tickets from the organisers)
