General description

Have you ever dreamed of building a flying machine?!

In Porto this Summer it will be possible!!!!

We will give you the basic knowledge and you'll have to bring your ideas together to win the competition! You will learn from aeromodelling experts.

That's not all, you'll have nice chances to relax from hard work: get ready to enjoy the sun, the beach and the warmth from the PORTOguese people.

Academic information

Content and topics:

Aeromodelling, fluid mechanics (aerodynamics) and centre of mass.

Learning goals and objectives:

Understand the principles behind a model plain and know how to build it.

Examination type:

Presentation of the model built and case study results. Assessment of the debate competition

Information for applicants

Selection criteria:

Motivation letters will be the main criteria taking into account gender balance and country diversity

Practical arrangements

All of the following are covered by the event fee:

Lodging:

Youth Hostel or Univerty's Residence.

Meals:

Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the University´s canteen. Traditional portuguese food.

Transportation:

Public transports like bus, train and metro.
