Universal Design - Architecture for All

General description

Did you ever imagine how hard life can be for handicapped or blind people? Did you ever see a woman with a buggy struggle in or out of a bus? Did you ever see an old man walking up a long stairway only because there is no elevator around? Did you ever see a stressed manager with his mobile phone running to some important meeting and falling over some obstacle? Universal Design is architecture for everyone! Intelligent design - where the people are the most important part and not the building - is a new way of thinking amongst the architects of our surroundings.

This summer course offers the possibility to become acquainted with Universal Design and its basic principles. Additionally you will get the chance to visit the beautiful city of Vienna, sit next to the blue Danube and spend a weekend on the Austrian mountains. You don't want to miss this chance!
