Ever since the middelages,Flanders has been one of the world's leading countries in textile production.Even today, it still is the number one carpet manufacturer in Europe.

We are very proud to announce that the the dean of our faculty himself will arrange the academical part of the course.The lectures will be given by staff members of his 'Departement of textiles'.

However we will try not to have you spend too much time in class and make this course more practical by arranging visits to nearby companies and labs.For instance , we will certainly visit Picanol(www.picanol.be),our main sponsor and manufacturer of high-tech weavery machines.

All of this in our beautiful,historical city of Ghent , where you will stay in the city park at 100 meters from a beach!
