Typical career for hired engineers

Cloud

Join the cloud engineering team to revolutionize how every building, movie, machine and city is designed in the future. Develop key applications that illustrate the power of connected services and build out code that will be seen by thousands of people and work with the latest Web and Client technologies. If your passion is infrastructure management, you will work on tools and services to provision, manage and monitor large fleets of virtual machines, containers and other resources where our applications and micro services are hosted.

Data Science and Machine Learning

Autodesk customers create the physical world around us, which gives us access to rich streams of data from those worlds. That might include 3D scans of buildings, fluid dynamic simulations, daily notes on the construction site, trends on product usage and more. You will get to apply your knowledge in data engineering, work with the latest machine learning models, and make an impact by helping our customers create a better, safer, more sustainable world.

Manufacturing and Robotics

It’s clear that robots are going to play an increasingly significant role in the making of things, and they will certainly become an important part of the design process. We want to enable people to utilize the power and flexibility of robots by advancing the state-of-the-art in robot design and control. With your software engineering background, you will have the opportunity work with Autodesk engineers to research and develop modern robotic solutions.

Reality Solutions

3D Capture technologies such as point cloud and photogrammetry that allows reconstruction of 3D objects from multiple overlapping photographs or videos are becoming widely used in the industry. This includes exposure to new automation technologies. Work with a product team and contribute in adapting Autodesk's graphics engine for the mobile platforms, iOS and Android, and for its deployment on the web.

Our teams develop industry leading design authoring applications, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor and Maya, used daily by millions of professionals all over the world. Ability to work on core engine algorithms and user facing features. Exposure to unique challenges, processes and tools supporting development of robust and highly performant programs consisting of millions of lines of code. Work in close contact with software engineers, user experience designers and QA engineers and will be able to apply your knowledge of algorithms, data structures and software design patterns to serving customer needs.
