IFP School - MOOCs - Massive Open Online Courses

Description

IFP School broke new ground and launched, in November 2014, its first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). The School joined the MOOC movement with its first course, taught entirely in English, on sustainable mobility. With this free, distance-learning course the participants were able to learn about engine design and related environmental and societal issues.

Entitled "Sustainable mobility: technical and environmental challenges for the automotive sector", the aim of this MOOC was to enable participants to discover powertrains, fuel production, environmental and economic challenges facing the automobile industry and issues concerning the future of transport. The second edition of this MOOC will be available starting November 2015.

Following this success, in June 2015, IFP School launched a second MOOC about the entire Oil and Gas chain, supported by Total.

Entitled "Oil and Gas: from exploration to distribution", this MOOC aims to enable participants to discover the operations deployed by the petroleum industry in order to find Oil and Gas, convert crude oil into oil products and market them.
