BEST Career Day Frequently Asked Questions

Any student or graduate from a university where BEST is present.

If you don't have a BEST account, create one and complete your profile at least up to 70% in order to apply;

If you already have a BEST account, log in and complete your profile at least up to 70% in order to apply;

You can apply by clicking on the "Apply now" button on the BEST Career Day event description. Your application will be complete after registering and answering the necessary questions.

You also have to contact your Local BEST Group in order to get your account validated.

The data on your account on BEST.eu.org will be automatically transformed into a CV, and the Partners of BEST Career Day will make the selection of participants based on this CV. Therefore, it is important to keep this information up-to-date; you can update your data by visiting this page.

Your application will be stored and shared with the participating companies and universities when the application period ends. Based on their assessment, you could be selected to attend BEST Career Day!

Your email and other personal information will only be used for matters related to your usage of BEST site, and/or participation in our activities and services.

Under certain conditions, this can also lead to parts of your personal information becoming accessible to third parties related to these activities and services. You will be informed about such cases beforehand.

The application period starts on the 18th of December. Remember you only have until the 8th of February 2017, 23:00 CET to apply.

Selection will be done by the companies based on your CV and your answers to the questions in the application. Make sure your CV is more than 70% filled in. You can create and update your CV here.

Every applicant will be notified via email and can also check the selection results in the My applications section on BEST.eu.org after 17th of February 2017, 23:00 CET.

Contact your Local BEST group to let them know that you wish to attend the event and pay the deposit of 30 euros.

• After attending the event and evaluating it, the full amount of the deposit will be returned to you after the evaluation period, which is after 16th of July 2017.
• In case the evaluation is not filled, only half of the deposit will be provided.
• In the case of non-attendance, the amount will not be returned.

You can see the logos of partners that confirmed their presence on the BEST Career Day Website. New companies will be also announced on BEST Facebook page and BEST LinkedIn page.

There is no fee for participation in the event.

As a participant of BEST Career Day you will be provided:

• Dinner and accommodation on 23rd of March 2017;
• Breakfast, transportation to the venue, lunch, transportation to the accommodation, dinner and accommodation for 24th of March;
• Breakfast on 25th of March.

The only cost for the participant is the travel to and from Brussels and your own personal expenses.

The participants will be accommodated in hostels located near Brussels. The exact hostel is still to be defined.

The event will consist of company/university presentations, workshops, interviews and a career fair. The detailed schedule will be published a few weeks before the event will take place.

The venue for BEST Career Day 2017 is still to be defined. Last year it was in MCE Conference Centre in Brussels.

No. You can book for extra nights in the accommodation place, but it will be at your own expense.

We will provide the necessary documents for you to obtain a visa, but firstly contact the Participants Responsible if you will be needing one.

Not necessarily. You can go directly to the BEST Career Day venue, just make sure you are on time. Please inform the participants’ responsible if it is your case.
