Each year Croon's E-College offers young academics the chance to develop themselves and maybe continue with us as trainee. During your final year research or a project can be executed as part of our regular work thus advancing both the graduate and Croon.

Apart from your collegues three people especially are ready to supervise you on your personal route to growth: the HR coach, the Technology coach and the departmental tutor. This fast paced and challenging programme will prepare you to take up responsibility. Ultimately your drive, motivation and development determines where you may find yourself in our organisation. You will get to know Croon from the inside out, working on high-quality and high-profile projects.


What we look for

For graduation or traineeship with Croon:
  • you have the personal drive to really shape your technical interests;
  • you are currently studying at a technical university, for instance Electronics Engineering, Energy Management or Technology Policy, Control Engineering;
  • you are interested in the overall lifecycle of electrical installations in infrastructure, building technologies, marine and offshore or in industry;

    You have just graduated and you want to work on the most challenging projects. Croon can offer you these projects as we annually take in a number of university graduates with little or no work experience and give them the chance to begin a solid career with us.
    During the two years you stay with us you will become acquainted with various departments in our organisation.     INNO+TALENT25 2012

    What is Inno+Talent25?

    It is a programme backed by HP and LEITAT, started in 2010, in which, every year, 25 recent graduates are offered the opportunity to work for two years at the HP facilities and receive high-quality additional training, with the aim of furthering their professional careers. HP Sant Cugat's aim is to contribute to nurturing young talent and creating high-added-value jobs.

    What is its objective?

    The aim of the programme is to develop talent, turning the recent graduate into a highly qualified professional capable of responding to the needs of an industrial model based on research and development, able to be successfully incorporated into companies at the forefront of the sector.

    What does the Inno+Talent25 offer consist of?

    The programme is based on two cornerstones:

      Working in the Hewlett Packard organisation in Sant Cugat, in the LFP (Large-Format Printers) R&D department, primarily according to their speciality (1), or in activities of the Operations & Marketing Department (2).
      1. For example, R&D in mechanical and printing subsystems, high-speed digital electronics or high- and low-level software, including development, generating alternatives, prototyping, industrialisation, problem analysis, experiment design and qualification for production. 2. Industrialisation of the product, technical assistance for customers, detection of opportunities, defining and implementing marketing strategies, etc.

      High-quality training: 550 hrs over the two years' participation in the programme, organised into 5 large blocks: Technological Environment, Innovation Management, Business Areas, Personal Skills, and Project Management, the training for which is worth 50 % of the credits for the La Salle Business Engineering School's Master's in Project Management.


    Advantage

    • Participate in research and development activities for mechanical and printing subsystems in ink-injection technology, digital electrical circuits or the digital architecture of large-format printers, working for a world leader in its industry.
    • Opportunity to learn and participate in the experiment design process needed to determine the system's functional variables.
    • Be a part of the development team for a subsystem throughout the development cycle of the product, including generating alternatives, prototyping, final design, monitoring of industrialisation phases, analysis of problems and qualification for production.
    • Research into technological or market trends in the corresponding discipline.
    • International collaboration with experts in specific disciplines
    • Opportunity to work with the supply chain, with providers all over the world and in various technologies, defining, updating and improving the product's industrialisation process...

    Contract type

    Two-year work-experience contract with Leitat and with a gross salary of € 22,000 per year plus additional benefits.

    Profiles required

    Higher or standard engineering graduates, preferably with a Master's degree, in the fields of mechanical, electrical, electronic or IT engineering.
    There may also be a requirement, depending on the year, for graduates in mathematics, physics or industrial design.

    Requisites

    • A degree in any of the required disciplines and with the project completed at the time of appointment, which for the third programme will be 5 November 2012.
    • A good academic record.
    • A high standard of English.

    Selection process

    CV submission is centralised via email innotalent@leitat.org, and the period for submission runs from 15 June to 30 September.
    The selection process will begin on 15 July and conclude on 20 October. Candidates who have submitted their application to the email address given above will be contacted and informed of their situation at all times, indicating whether they will continue in the process or their application has been rejected. Furthermore, the selectors will arrange the initial face-to-face interviews in various parts of Spain in order to minimise the need for candidates to travel.
