Life has completely changed the last years, and it goes on changing extremely fast! Today, robotics is an engineering field very useful in many areas of our daily life. Are you interested in getting involved in this science? Are you interested in getting to know more, about robotics theory and applications? Do you want to be one of the scientists who will completely change our future?!? And at last, do you want to make your own robot, in a group of great friends from all around Europe?

The answer is only one:) Just write your motivation letter, and Athens Summer Course 2006 will be waiting for you! Get ready to expand your knowledge, make great friends from different cultures, and pass some great summer days in Greece, near Mediterranean sea! You will have the chance to visit all famous places in Athens, eat in a greek taverna, walk in the streets of Plaka that are full of tourists in the summer, and visit a greek island! Academic information

Content and topics:

Theory of robotics:Basic principles of kinematics and mechanics, hand movements, artificial intelligence and programming robots. After theoretical scope, there will be an emphasis on the real implementation of a robot, based on the knowledge gained from lectures. The constructure will be made in labs, using LEGO mindstorms sets and participants will be split into groups.

We aim to give you a thorough understanding of the theory of robotics, and let you practice it by constructing a real robot!
