Snowledge - Understanding Snow and Ice

General description

The aim of the course is to give an introduction to how you can take advantage of the possibilities of snow and ice. By a mixture of lectures, laboratory- and field experiments we try to dive deeper into the world of snow and ice. Interesting applications as the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi will be presented. February above the Polar Circle is the most exotic place in Europe at this time of the year! We promise you a lot of snow, temperatures around -20 - -30 Celsius, northern lights, reindeers and a lot of fun!
