Welcome to sunny cyborg world!!!

General description

Welcome to sunny cyborg world!!!

Cyborg investigations in contemporary culture, art and architecture.

Since the first publication of Donna Haraway's A Cyborg Manifesto (1985) the cyborg metaphor has become an omnipresent object of discourse in academic fields beyond science and technology (like critical theory, political theory, medicine, sociology, psychology, cultural theory, art and architecture). Enjoying the sun and the ultimate BEST spirit we will attempt to highlight and explore a few of the ways in which contemporary culture, art and architectural theory and practice reflect diverse interpretations and conceptions of the cyborg myth and the changing human-machine relations it suggests. The event will be useful for anyone who wishes to develop their understanding of such projects as technologically augmented bodies in multimedia art, technologically augmented buildings in interactive architecture, responsive environments and installations, biotechnological applications as well as other post-human manifestations in contemporary culture.

Along with exploring the world of art and technology, you will also have the opportunity to experience the greek way of entertaining and how we spend our time with HALARA coffees and great all-night parties!Life in Crete never ends in summer, since it is one of the most touristic islands of Greece. Here you can find a place to taste hot

'rakomelo' or cold 'frappe' all the time, taste our special
