Energy Crisis: Finding Alternatives

General description

This course will be based on different conferences and discussions about different alternatives of energy sources and their technological applications. Furthermore, this course will combine social and cultural activities which will let the participants discover Spain as well as be in contact with other European students. You can not miss our energetical parties and all the fun that Barcelona can offer to you! The aim of the course is to have an overview of the different kinds of energy sources, studying the gains and drawbacks of each one. Special consideration will be given to the nuclear alternative, much criticised but still standing as the most powerful, FEEL THE NUCLEAR POWER!! At the end of the course an accurate balance of energy sources against our fragile natural-environment will have been exposed, in a hopeful try to mind ourselves towards a sustainable future.
