"WDM Networks for optical Internet. The new game for Telecom Station II"

General description

The world of telecommunications is evolving constantly, and nowadays tends to the fast networks based on optical fiber. This is the framework that fits with our Spring Course. The course is divided into 3 parts: 1.- Introduction to the physics of optical fiber. 2.- Optic communication systems, especially WDM. 3.- WDM and optical networks. Static and dynamic networks. IP on WDM. Every part will consist of theorical lectures, experiments in labs and practices with simutation software. So it has a huge practical load. Of course we cannot forget the social part, where participants will enjoy with different activities, games and some trip to get to know better our region. FUN is assured in Valladolid!!!
