Pyramids in the Cosmos

General description

Recently a lot of new theories have been proposed about the origin and purpose of the Egyptian Pyramids on television documentaries and in books. Many of those fantastical theories are based on the assumption of alien influences or influences from old forgotten civilisations as Plato's Atlantis. At the Free University of Brussels (V.U.B.) a team of professors and researchers have examined this phenomena, each from the point of view of their own discipline. The result is a series of lectures with a strong multidisciplinary character. Each lecture highlights the basic scientifical principles of the discipline and next considers the Egyptian pyramids as the common subject.
